The New Victory Theater

Jim Joseph was a part of the inaugural staff at The New Victory Theater, the city’s first theater dedicated to kids and family programming. Jim and company created The New Vic Usher Corps – a groundbreaking, youth development program for NYC youth. From 1995 until 2008, Jim hired over 400 teens and young adults, giving most of them their very first job and helping some of them launch careers in the professional theater as artists and administrators.

@Manhattan Theatre Club

For 9 seasons, Jim Jospeh was the Theatre Manager at The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, the Broadway home of Manhattan Theatre Club. While managing the Friedman, he welcomed 27 different Broadway shows into the space, including the Tony Award winning production of August Wilson’s Jitney.

A.R.T./NY

At A.R.T./New York, Jim Joseph was responsible for management of A.R.T./New York’s Facilities Programs which include SPACES @520 (a 33,000 sq. ft. facility in midtown Manhattan that houses 5 rehearsal studios and 20 offices for nonprofit theatre companies) The LuEsther T. Mertz South Oxford Space (a 17,000 sq. ft. building in Brooklyn which has 3 rehearsal studios and 19 offices) and the A.R.T. /New York Theatres (2 state of the art Off Broadway theaters in Hell’s Kitchen).
